Review: Stayed at 5 different beach huts in Palolem — here's the breakdown
Spent 3 weeks testing beach huts from ₹800 to ₹3500 a night. Big difference in quality, cleanliness, and location on the beach. Here's my honest comparison with names, prices, and what you actually get for your money. Spoiler: the most expensive one wasn't the best.

Great review! I'd add that the huts at the south end of the beach are quieter and have better sunset views. Art Resort is my go-to — around ₹1800/night and consistently clean with attached bathroom.

The ₹800 ones — are they actually liveable? I'm on a tight budget and don't mind basic, but I need a functioning lock and mosquito net at minimum. Which ones would you recommend for backpackers?

The ₹800 ones at Neptune Point are basic but clean — they have locks and nets. No AC obviously, but the sea breeze is enough in season. Avoid the ones right next to the bars unless you want bass until 2am.

Pro tip: book directly with the hut owners by visiting in person. The online prices on booking apps are usually 30-40% higher. Walk the beach, compare, and negotiate — especially if you're staying a week or more.
